It was clear there was a desperate need for a Registered Charity dedicated to the rescue of all three sizes of Poodle throughout the US. Before us, if you needed to rehome mixed sized Poodles, you needed to contact different rescues and often dogs were being needlessly separated. On that same night, Klein received a call about two puppies- Hugo and Mac- who needed rehoming. They became the first rescues of Poodle for us.

Our vision was for a US wide charity who guaranteed to take all poodles in need, care for them, rehabilitate them and rehome them with a single point of contact, so people were not being passed from branch to branch. Klein and our other Trustees & Patrons wanted all our donors to have the security and certainty that 100% of their donations went to the care and rehabilitation of the Poodles we rescued; and our registration with the Charities Commission in 2022 ensured this. In 2023 we were proud to be asked to Continue Ann Coppage’s work by incorporating her South West Poodle Rescue into Poodle Network US.
